kbandstraining com best-soccer-exercises-to-improve-foot-speed-ball-control-and-quickness To perform the first drill, Kbands Situational Attack Drill, athletes will need a set of Kbands, a Speed and Agility Ladder, 9-12 Speed and Agility Cones, and 1-3 soccer balls Athletes will line 3 of the cones up in a line separated by 5-8 feet Athletes will begin by backpedaling to the middle cone, turning and sprinting to the final cone Once the final cone is reached athletes will kick a soccer ball toward the goal and move into a lateral high knee on the Speed and Agility Ladder Once the ladder is cleared athletes will pass the second ball to an imaginary attacker to set up a scoring opportunity After the ball is passed athletes will work laterally through 3 lines of 2-3 cones spaced 2-3 feet apart Athletes will end the drill by kicking a ball, placed at the end of the 3 cone line, into the goal Athletes will perform 3 resisted repetitions from the right side, 3 resisted from the left, followed by 2 unresisted sets from each side The second drill, MRC 1v1 drill, involves the athlete performing the Matthews maneuver, the Ronaldo, and the Cruyff to mimic maneuvering around a defender to score a goal Athletes will attach the Kbands and set up 3-5 Speed and Agility Cones at a point where they would take a shot during a game Athletes will perform the move and then work at a 45 degree angle around the cones to mimic passing a defender and taking a shot on the goal Athletes will perform 1-2 resisted sets with each foot for all three maneuvers Athletes will then remove the Kbands and perform 1-2 unresisted sets of each soccer move with each foot For the third drill, transitional shooting, athletes will set up the Speed and Agility Ladder to the outside of the drill and perform either the icky shuffle, step over, high knees, or lateral high knees Athletes will work through the ladder and then move backward through 2 Speed and Agility Cones 5-8 feet apart set at a 45 degree angle from each other and then sprint through the final cone Once the cones have been cleared athletes will dribble through 4 Speed and Agility Cones moving the ball around each cone before finishing with a shot on the goal Athletes will perform 3 resisted sets from each side before removing the resistance and performing 2 unresisted sets from each side The final soccer drill involves the athletes setting up a square boundary 20-25 feet wide and moving toward the goal while executing the Matthews, Ronaldo, and In and Out maneuvers Perform 2 resisted sets of all drills on each leg before performing 2 unresisted sets of each maneuver on each leg Athletes will take a 1-2 minute break and perform the step over and scissor moves working down the field and performing 2 resisted sets on each leg and 2 unresisted sets on each leg Soccer players need to perform a variety of challenging soccer drills to keep the training intensity high Athletes will find many other speed and agility products and drills which will aid in enhancing athletic performance and increasing production during competition at KbandsTraining com Athletes can also find purchasing information on the Speed and Agility Cones, Speed and Agility Ladder, and Kbands at KbandsTraining
